Thank you Springdale Kiwanis for your donation to Lee! Their $1300 donation is paying for Mrs. Brock to attend the Assistant Principal’s Institute, an advanced leadership training for school administrators.

Due to a message received by the FBI concerning a potential threat to a school in Arkansas, the Springdale School District has been in direct communication with Springdale Police Department Leadership. The Springdale Police Department and the district will have increased police presence this week even though the threat is not believed to be credible. Precautions are being taken to address safety concerns. The district wants to assure all parents that the safety of their children is always our number one concern.

Other partners that made for a great event last night include: Lee PTA, PTLA, Camp War Eagle, Ozark Guidance, Harp’s Foods Springdale Schools Support Services, Elmdale Elementary, SFLP, Shiloh Museum, Springdale Police, Springdale Fire, Springdale Public Library, A&M Railroad, our Food Service Department, After School Program, Beaver Water District, and the NWA Naturals! Thanks so much for helping us make last night successful!

Last Night’s Block Party was fantastic!! We couldn’t do it without our community partners. Many partners came together, but three stand out!!! 1. Thanks to Legacy National Bank for your donation of the hamburgers and the grill to cook it with! We wouldn’t have had the turnout without it. They donated 400 hamburgers with all the extras. 2. NWA Books for Kids purchased $400 in books for Home Libraries. Finally 3. Lee Parents! You’re our most important partner!! Thank you for coming last night!!

Tomorrow is Lee Elementary's Back To School Block Party. It is on Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bring out the whole family to meet teachers for information, get a free hamburger meal, and enjoy games and bounce castle while you are here. We can't wait to have some fun with the families at Lee! This event will be outside on in the playground area, weather permitting.

We are so excited to see our Lions to kick off the 2019-2020 school year! School starts today. The instructional day will begin at 7:45. The doors of Lee Elementary will open at 7:15 to welcome students in. Breakfast in the classroom will still be served at 7:45. We can’t wait to see you!
